 Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

INGREDIENTS

For the marinade:

1/3 cup soy sauce

¼ cup canned pineapple juice

2 tablespoons coconut sugar

2 tablespoons sesame oil

½ teaspoon minced garlic

¼ teaspoon grated ginger

¼ cup chilly water

1 tablespoon cornstarch

 

For the kabobs:

4 boneless, skinless rooster breasts, trimmed and reduce into 1 ½-inch items

3 bell peppers, reduce into 1 ½-inch items

3 cups pineapple chunks

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. For the marinade: Mix first six substances in a small saucepan and produce to a simmer. In the meantime, whisk chilly water and cornstarch collectively till mixed. Slowly pour water into marinade, whisk and simmer for 3 minutes till marinade thickens.
  2. Place rooster in a bag or bowl and add half of the marinade. Let sit for as much as 4 hours.
  3. Preheat grill to medium warmth.
  4. Thread rooster, peppers and pineapple onto skewers.
  5. Grill over medium warmth, turning each 5 minutes and basting with remaining marinade till rooster is completed, about quarter-hour.
